I've been blessed to be a part of many painting and staining projects, learning through hands-on experience and seeing firsthand what works best. Every project has taught me something new, and over time, I have a process that brings out the natural beauty of the wood while ensuring a durable finish. Prepping of the surface is a vital part in the quality of the outcome and using a high quality stain applicator is also very important whether it be a sprayer or a brush.
The first step is always a thorough pressure washing to remove dirt, old residue, and anything that could interfere with the stain applicator, stain sealer, or the curing process. A clean surface not only makes application smoother but also helps the stain absorb better and last longer. From there, I focus on proper sanding and applying high-quality finishes to protect and enhance the wood. This goes for both my painting and staining projects. My goal is always to make it look great and hold up over time—no shortcuts, just careful work and experience at play.
